Portable Stretch Barre Reviews

Portable Stretch Barre Reviews

The Portable Stretch Barre is another top selling product and a customer favorite! Hear what the customers have said regarding the Stretch Barre:

Heavy Duty.
This turned out be be much sturdier than I imagined for the price. All 3 of my daughters take ballet and have asked for a barre for years. Other options were much more expensive. This is good size for them to use 1 or 2 at a time. The base is heavily weighted for stability. Very nice.

Healthmark portable bar
This is exactly what I have been looking for. It is portable and very strong and I feel confident when stretching on iit. I am very pleased as I had been looking for years for a piece of home equipment like this

So much better
I was using a chair for my Physique 57 workouts before I purchased this bar. I can really feel how much more effective the workouts are with the stability of this bar.

Great Product!
Sturdy but not bulky. Great for Ballet stretching and working out. Easy to assemble. Heavy enough to feel secure but still light enough to be portable. Good price.

Yogacise Reviews!

Yogacise Reviews!

One of Health Mark’s top selling products, the Yogacise, has been getting great feed back from our customers! Read what some of our customers are saying:

One of my favorite things
I try to use this everyday after I stretch and before my ab exercises. It creates calm and improves strength, and the resistance attachments are a bonus. I am a small person and I needed to adjust them down as far as they would go and they work for me. It’s lightweight, but I take it to my yoga classes and carry it a long way so it gets heavy in both directions.

Great product, helps me levitate

Great!
It is just like the one at the studio and now I don’t have to wait to practice my core work by myself.

Hi Everyone:

As you may know, I have had a Port-A-Vibe for about a year and a half now and love it. I know how beneficial walking is for me, but sometimes (I think) my schedule is so full, I don’t make the time. It is too cold or too hot or too wet or any other excuse I can think of. However, the Port A Vibe is there in front of the TV in Texas and the window in Montana. I can get on it for 5 or 10 minutes and feel totally energized and I feel as though I just had a body alignment. Also, by being on it for 10 minutes, the benefits are equivalent to 4 miles of jogging.

Yogacise Workouts

Yogacise Workouts

The Yogacise, which was developed by Health Mark Inc. primarily for yoga head stands and meditation techniques, is now being considered a machine for various types of workouts. The Yogacise was created to give individuals the same type of yoga benefits as the yoga head stand, while relieving some of the stress and tension that is placed on the neck and upper body during the yoga head stand. This machine is also beneficial for helping increase blood flow to the neck, head, and upper body, while relieving stress placed on the lower body through the day to day weight bearing demands.

As of lately, the Yogacise, has developed into a piece of equipment that can be used for workouts as well. Some workouts the Yogacise machine can be used for include Tricep Dips, Tricep Extensions, Pull Ups, Push Ups, and many types of Core (abdominal) exercises. The Yogacise has now evolved into more than just a therapeutic piece of exercise equipment.

Proper Stretching Before Exercise

Proper Stretching Before Exercise

We did it in gym class, and for a lot of us, it’s an almost automatic part of the exercise routine: Warm up by contorting our bodies and holding stretches until we feel a pleasant release. Hold a 60-second quad stretch, then it’s time to hit the track and weights, right? According to science, only if you want to be slow and weak. A series of new studies supports movement-specific dynamic warm-ups as a better way to prep for performance.

Static Stretching:
Static stretching is defined as a stretch that is held in a challenging but comfortable position for a period of time, usually somewhere between 10 to 30 seconds. Static stretching, until recently, has been one of the most common forms of stretching. However, new studies have shown that static stretching alone prior to engaging in an exercise routine can do more negative effects than beneficial. New studies conducted with both Stephen F. Austin State University and by researchers in Croatia have concluded that static stretching can be harmful. The research conducted by Stephen F. Austin State University concludes that: significant strength impairment in individuals who practiced static stretching before lifting as opposed to those who performed dynamic warm-ups. While research from Croatia agreed and also concluded that: it’s likely that loosening muscles and tendons in the “traditional” manner leaves them less able to move quickly and on command come workout time.

What are the best type of stretches to do while warming up?
Studies have shown that the best type of stretches to perform prior to an exercise session are dynamic and dynamic range of motion stretching. Dynamic stretching involves moving the performing muscle in a series of movement patterns for a period of time to help fully activate, stretch, and warm up the muscle. Dynamic stretching can be done throughout most body segments and major muscles. Prior to engaging in your next exercise routine practice dynamic stretches to see if you feel a difference!
